We aim to nurture creative intellectuals who can contribute to the mechanical & automotive engineering field in the future. It is also our goal to nurture professional intellectuals with the ability to work in, and the professional knowledge of, mechanical engineering. To achieve these goals, students study the basis of material dynamics, fluid dynamics, heat dynamics, mechanical design and mechanical dynamics, automotive engineering and its applicable theory, and obtain practical knowledge of high-tech mechanical engineering and the futuristic automotive engineering field by applying their design ability to CAD/CAM.
We aim to nurture intellectuals with the appropriate ability to flexibly respond to high-value major technology and industrial consumption, as selected by the NURI industry (2005∼2009) immediately after the BK21 industry (2000∼2005). In 2009, we secured outstanding teaching staff and modern experiment practice instruments with the goal of contributing to regional society and industrial society as the core department of the Großraumwirtschaft leading industrial team (fusion spare part material human resources center of safety and convenience of transferring machine). For this we will receive 25 billion won within 5 years (2009~2014). We also nurture professional technicians with extraordinary site adaptation ability, a strong work ethic and sincerity. In short, we aim to nurture advanced intellectuals with the engineering ability to understand and resolve problems and to respond flexibly to the environmental changes of our time. Furthermore, we have an education system for strengthening on-site ability, as required by the industry after graduation, in the form of an engineering education certification system, which we have had since 2002.

General mechanical engineers, construction machinery engineers, heat control engineers, mechatronics engineers, cooperative refrigerator engineers, industrial safety engineers, firefighting facility engineers, etc.
Possible Careers After Graduation
Enterprise and research centers in the automobile, rail vehicle, aeroplane, shipbuilding, machinery and steel industries omplex machinery industry/manufacture IT-related precise machinery such as computers, semi-conductors, factory automation facilities and defence industry fields / futuristic industry field, government-run research centers and government servants, etc.
