The Major of Naval Architecture and Marine systems is nurturing new advanced technicians who can contribute to the development of shipbuilding and the marine engineering field by focusing on learning the necessary theories and technologies for the interpretation of design, drying of marine structures, the marine functions used in ships such as huge oil tankers, container ships, LNG ships, high express steamers, fishing ships and passenger boats and oil prospecting ships, together with waste material treatment facilities, marine cities, marine airports and wave power plants.
By maximizing our research and educational exficiency through the excellent professors we have attracted, our students will contribute to the development of shipbuilding and related industries. We aim to nurture intellectuals who will contribute to the development of science technology based on the knowledge of naval architecture and marine systems. We have also developed into a department that educates with internal stability through specialized research and experiments.

Types of Certified Licenses
Shipbuilding engineers, ship machinery engineers, civil engineers, marine engineers, general machinery engineers, construction machinery engineers, etc, engineers licenses related to engineering
Possible Careers After Graduation
Graduates of this department are working at design and production-related departments of our biggest shipbuilders (Hyundai/Daewoo/Samsung/Hyundai, Samho/Hanjin/Hyundai Mipo/STX, etc) and lead the Korean shipbuilding industry. Our students have also gone on to become small and medium shipbuilders, and others work for shipbuilding material companies. It is also possible to enter the navy as an officer through N-ROTC. Our masters and doctors degree courses also result in advanced intellectuals who go on to work in industries, schools and research centers, working as leaders of research and the development of high technology.
