Sangkyu Park, CEO of NewGen INS and a Ph.D. Student in 狠狠撸's IT Convergence Engineering Program, Wins the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Award at the 'Marine Science and Technology Awards'

Park Sang-kyu (supervisor Kwon Ki-ryong), CEO of NewGen INS Co., Ltd., who is attending a master's and doctoral integration course in 狠狠撸's IT Convergence Applied Engineering Department, won the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award (Excellent Award) at the '2024 Marine Fisheries Science and Technology Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
The award ceremony was held in Yeouido, Seoul, on November 26, and CEO Park Sang-kyu was honored for his achievements in developing a 'virtual training simulator for LNG bunkering ship drivers linking 3D models with fair models.'
The simulator developed by CEO Park Sang-gyu is evaluated for its excellent economic and social ripple effects, such as improving digital literacy through digital transformation (DX) as well as expecting import substitution effects through localization. In particular, it is expected to contribute greatly to the development of eco-friendly technologies, increasing industrial stability, and creating jobs.
In his acceptance speech, CEO Park Sang-gyu said, "Thanks to the active support of the school and the supervisor, we were able to achieve this achievement. We will continue to do our best to develop technologies that can strengthen the competitiveness of domestic industries." In addition, it is said that it plans to continue research that combines various artificial intelligence technologies using Generative AI in the environment of XR contents and metaverse using the 4th industrial revolution technology.
