National Pukyong University (President Bae Sang-hoon) has announced the success of 8 students in the 2024 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Tax Accountant exams.

In the 2024 59th CPA exam, Kim Young-il (class of 2011) from the Department of Business Administration at National Pukyong University passed the exam.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a professional who performs duties such as auditing, preparing tax adjustment statements, representing national tax appeals, business diagnosis, improving management systems, and cost accounting.

In the 59th CPA exam, 4,458 candidates took the second round, and 1,250 passed the final exam.

Additionally, National Pukyong University has produced 7 successful candidates in the 2024 61st Tax Accountant exam. The successful candidates include Kim Hyo-eun (class of 2015), Ryu Pil-jun (class of 2016), Lee Bong-ho (class of 2016), Han Hyun-ho (class of 2018) from the Department of Business Administration, Woo Kyung-won (class of 2016), Shin Ho-jun (class of 2019) from the Department of Economics, and Ahn Jun-young (class of 2015) from the Department of Applied Mathematics.

A tax accountant is a professional who represents individuals and businesses in tax filing, applications, claims, prepares tax-related documents such as tax adjustment statements, and provides consultation and advisory services regarding taxes.

In the 61st Tax Accountant exam, 5,437 out of 5,911 applicants participated, with 715 passing the final exam.

National Pukyong University鈥檚 Department of Business Administration operates study dormitories, Seogeumjae and Parkdaljae, for students preparing for the CPA and tax accountant exams.
