In the true Korean spirit, our students acquire scientific and structured knowledge about Korean language and Korean literature to research and understand our traditional culture heritage and creatively inherit modern Korean literature. A newly established course, it offers not only theoretical courses in the fields of Korean language and Korean literature but also a balance between these two subjects.

Through its various applied subjects like media, novel creativity, understanding and truth of translation, digital culture theory, and story formation this major will directly help students in education and employment. We are proud of the best teacher-student rate in Korea, resulting in close interactions in class. To provide real education through experience, we prepare and support various student activities. Students publish 鈥橦anwooltari鈥�, our department鈥檚 magazine, and they annually hold an open conference with students to discuss the world of literature. A 鈥檒iterature trip鈥� is also held every year in which we visit places to follow the footsteps of writers.
