The Department of Environmental Atmospheric Sciences conducts in-depth education in theories, measurementsand modeling of physical and chemical phenomena in the atmosphere to investigate and analyze air pollution and weather/climate disasters. Our research topics cover various atmospheric phenomena from urban to global scales based on numerical modeling and measurements: meteorological and environmental phenomena within the urban canopy layer; atmospheric boundary layer; cloud and precipitation physics;mesoscale and synoptic scale dynamics; climate change and weather disaster/forecasts; aerosols; pollution diffusion; atmospheric chemistry and pollution.
