鈥淕oing Together with the Community is the Most Important鈥�

-President Bae Sang-hoon Appears on KNN <Focus on the Person>

Bae Sang-hoon, President of 狠狠撸, stated on February 20th during a KNN broadcast that 鈥淚 feel a greater sense of responsibility and weight than ever before, and since the beginning of my term, I have been working hard to share our vision and policies, uniting as one.鈥�

President Bae appeared on KNN鈥檚 program <Focus on the Person>, which aired twice, at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, where he shared these insights.

KNN <Focus on the Person> shared an interview with President Bae Sang-hoon, who assumed office as the 8th president of 狠狠撸 in November of last year, discussing his vision and goals for running the university.

President Bae emphasized the four key visions of 鈥楴EXT 狠狠撸.鈥� He explained, 鈥淭he 鈥楶鈥� in 狠狠撸 stands for Power University, representing a 鈥榮trong university.鈥� Our university must excel in both education and research. The second vision is 鈥楰鈥� for Knowledge Innovation.鈥�

He continued, 鈥淭he third vision, 鈥楴,鈥� stands for Network and Cooperation. It鈥檚 essential for the solidarity among all members. Finally, 鈥楿鈥� represents Unification and Future, meaning the university must move forward together with the local community.鈥�

President Bae also highlighted the 鈥楳oonshot Project,鈥� which he is leading to proactively respond to the Busan-type RISE project, and the preparations for the Glocal University 30 project.

President Bae explained, 鈥淭he 鈥楳oonshot Project,鈥� which is like launching a space exploration mission, aims for the university鈥檚 own created companies and research institutes in specialized fields to reach a revenue of 1 trillion won.鈥� He continued, 鈥淔or this innovative Glocal project, I believed that without building consensus and agreement among all members, innovation cannot be achieved. Therefore, my first decision after my appointment was the formation of the 鈥楪local Communication Committee.鈥欌��

Lastly, President Bae emphasized, 鈥淭he most important thing is to move forward together with the local community.鈥� He added, 鈥淲e will collaborate with the city of Busan, the education office, the chamber of commerce, and the 21 universities in our region to contribute to the joint growth of our community.鈥� <Pukyong Today>
